Stati Uniti e l'Inghilterra.[1]Lo spunto per Grindhouse venne a Robert Rodriguez e Quentin Tarantino perché quest'ultimo era solito organizzare in casa sua proiezioni "doppie" di alcuni classici B- movie, inclusi i trailer da far scorrere prima e in mezzo ai due film, a imitazione di quanto avveniva negli Stati Uniti in certi cinema o nei drive in, dove era frequente la distribuzione in modalità double feature, ovvero due film proiettati di seguito, al prezzo di uno. Durante una di queste maratone, Rodriguez notò che entrambi possedevano lo stesso poster doppio di Dragstrip Girl e Rock tutta la notte.
